Description of the certificate
The CANSW Certification of Nephrology Social Work for Nephrology Social Workers is a course developed over the early years of 2020-2024 by highly experienced Nephrology Social Workers and in consultation with Nephrologist.
The online course will take approximately 6-8 weeks to complete working at a pace of 4-5 hours a week. You will have 24/7 access to the course during this time.
The Certification of Nephrology Social Work is a great introduction to social workers beginning in the field of Kidney Health.
The course is a living document with updates and information added/ updated on a regular basis.
Exams are given following each module. A 75% mark on the exam is considered a pass.
This course is not mandatory to practice as a Nephrology Social Worker but is highly encouraged.
The Certification of Nephrology Social Workers Course is available to those who are registered members of CANSW at no cost.
A certificate is provided upon completion along with confirmation of 25 hours for your continuing education hours.
